Skeptical

Latest Comic:
For Now
For Now

A regular slice of life/death romantic comedy about an unusual family and their relations to a group of creatures that call themselves "skull people".

Said human family(and half the comic itself) was created by and belongs to TyrannicalShipper!

Warning- there's an abundance of foul language, and blood. Lots of blood, including the first page.

Also, constructive critiques are always appreciated!

Currently updates every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday!

What's new with Skeptical?

Time for an update:
Anime Los Angeles was great for us and it was wonderful to meet some fans in person!
There has been talk about more cons but Rakewn and I agreed that we would only do small cons within California, so our apologies to fans outside of CA :(
However, good news!
The Skeptical Team has been working on Skeptical's own website and we are currently in a transition and we hope to move completely over to the website. Right now you can watch the website grow at skepticalwebcomic.com.
With the website means that hopefully we can get working on making a store to buy Skeptical prints, keychains, and more! So if you miss out on conventions we attend, then you can check out the store! So far the store is not a major priority and will take a bit to get going, so expect updates along the way as we progress.
Comic updates will continue as scheduled unless something comes up.

Merchandise 2.0

Great news!
Kewn and I just found out that we got accepted for a table in Artist Alley at the Anime Los Angeles convention.
This means that we will be rapidly creating merch for our table.
Since our table will be roughly 60% fanart and 40% skeptical, and since Skeptical is still new and upcoming, this means that we will have leftover merch that we will end up putting on our own Skeptical website.
The website is a WIP as now, but once it is up we'll finally have our own store to sell prints, keychains, and more!
So merchandise for Skeptical is definitely in the future for you fans that have expressed interest! [Which we fully appreciate the interest]
If anybody is planning to attend Anime Los Angeles look for our table in Artist Alley!

Skeptical Merchandise

In the past Kewn and I have discussed the possibility of in fact selling Skeptical merchandise.

We discussed getting a table at a convention and selling prints and potentially other merch.

However, until we can get ourselves a table, there is the possibility of working up a Donate button, or selling small merch. And I mean small merch, as in stickers, maybe keychains, maybe buttons. I do also have the paper for prints.

So, where Skeptical stands right now, and where you think it might be heading, how into the idea of merch are all of you?

sort of a bump in the road

hey guys, shelby here!

the next couple of days are going to be pretty busy for me so I don't know how often I'll be able to work on comic pages.

preemptively pushing the 3-4 day update radius to 5-6 days until things calm down again! (if they even do, college starts on the 20th! ah!!!)

Anime Expo

TS/Kate and I are going to AX Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

However, to get our butts ready (well mostly my butt) we'll be mainly focusing on cosplay/packing whatevers for the next couple of days, so Skeptical probably won't update til after the con. Sorry, and thank you in advance for your patience! (:

Golly

So one of TS' friends shared Skeptical on Reddit!

That was really cool. Like.. REALLY cool! Especially since we got 3,000+ page-views and about 700 unique visitors in a day!! Normally we get about an average of 200 page-views and 30 visitors.

We also got some constructive critiscm which was awesome because we really love to hear any ways we can make Skeptical better! I went back and edited as many pages as I could (adding speech bubbles, fixing some anatomy stuff, even added new panels to one).

Unfortunately, I can't edit the pages done in Paint Tool Sai as easily. See, I cheat and use the trial version, and as such I can't save pages; they're all print screened and saved in MS Paint. This is also extra unfortunate because the Sai pages typically have the hardest text to read- if I find a way to fix this I will do so but for now, at least I know what to do for future arcs!

That's just about all I can think of saying for now. Thanks for reading!

oh nooo

Might possibly be another long while before a new update.

Of course I am not exactly a reliable creature when it comes to information like this. I may very well go back on my word and post in the next couple of days.

"Don't expect a new page but feel free to be happy if a new one happens" is basically what I'm trying to say here.
